behind “b l o o m journals”
the story behind the cover art
my practice with journaling has a lot of parallels with painting and i wanted the art on the covers of these journals to reflect that.
starting and maintaining a practice that adds value to the rest of my day is so rewarding.
the growth is steady
but showing up day in and out brings beauty to the surface.
In my studio, I can always tell how much i've been painting based on how quickly the layers build on my painting palettes.
even when i'm not feeling especially inspired, showing up and being present in that day of creating is so important to keep momentum over time.
these palettes grow, change colors, and tell a story of their own-
a visual reflection of my practice growing and evolving.
journaling is that way too.
a place to record the beauty and edges.
written proof I get to reflect on and continue to learn from.
and it's even better when I get to share it with someone else.
